One Ph.D. student presented her thesis in which she claimed that the Earth is flat, stationary, the center of the Universe and just 13,500 years old. This thesis has been submitted to two assessors, in that, passing the first stage of the approvals.
This idea of the Earth being flat is actually a relatively new theory. As a matter of fact, before anyone else came up with such an idea that we are living on a flat planet, people knew very well that our planet is round.
Although there are numerous images of the Earth, as well as countless videos that were recorded from space, there are some people who still argue that our planet is flat. One of those people is one Ph.D. student that rocked the Arab scientific community with presenting her thesis in which she claimed that our planet is flat, stationary, the center of the Universe, and that it is just around 13,500 years old.
She did not only suggested that we are living on a flat Earth, but she also rejected scientific theories which were presented by Newton and Einstein, as well as some astronomical discoveries by Kepler and Copernicus, the Big Bang theory, the atmospheric and geological activity, most of the modern climatology, and basically all of the other scientific teachings which were made in the past.
As one article claims, the student presented her thesis after five unsteadily years of work. In due course, the thesis was submitted to two assessors, in that way passing the first stage of approvals. The reports for the defense of the thesis to be scheduled were soon expected.
The unsettling doctoral thesis actually suggests that our planet is flat, younger than we know and that it is stationary in the middle of the Universe. Moreover, that not being enough, the thesis also claims that the Sun has an average diameter of 1,135 kilometers, and not 1.4 million kilometers, as claimed before. The Moon also has a width of 908km, and they are (Sun and Moon) located 687 and 23 times closer to our planet. Additionally, the thesis claimed that there are 11 planets and stars on the sky, which are limited in number and also have a diameter of 292 kilometers and not millions of kilometers.
Meanwhile, the president of the Tunisian Astronomical Association somehow managed to get a copy of the thesis, proving that it was not a hoax, as well as posting it on Facebook.
As it has been noted, a lot of people consider the claims as ridiculous, as well as scandalous, as the thesis firmly rejects all of the modern science. However, other people have found it quite disturbing as the thesis was made by a Ph.D. science student, and the professor is the best one in the academia.
Moreover, it was also added that some people find in the conclusions of the thesis clear indications of the stand and approach, some expressions like “using physical and religious arguments, “providing the world scale of Noah’s flood, “the roles of the stars,” and so on.
