When we say Bruce Lee, we are referring to his character Cheng Chaoan in The 1971 movie The Boss. It was this 1971 Hong Kong release that gave birth to the Bruce Lee legend and has plenty of his martial-arts action amidst Thailand’s scenery.
Better known among Thais by the title “Ai Noom Cin Tueng”, in the movie Cheng promises his mother back home that he’d stay out of fights, but his cousin Hsu Chien (James Tien) is killed after discovering the factory is a front for drug smuggling. The movie goes on-his death must be avenged. The film was a huge success upon release, becoming the highest-grossing Hong Kong film in history.
And we just love Bruce Lee.
He is the type of man that comes across once a generation. The most influential martial artist of all time he was also an actor, martial arts instructor, philosopher, filmmaker, and the founder of Jeet Kune Do.
His journey to Thailand for The Boss may have started his fame but years later, his knowledge and words have become legendary.
